Born on April 30, 1960, in São Paulo, Brazil, where he studied percussion in different centers. As a teacher, he has given courses and workshops in various schools in São Paulo, Berlín, Madrid, Barcelona, Vienna, Graz, Paris and Amsterdam. He was musical director of the homage to the sculptor Eduardo Chillida that took place in the Reina Sofía contemporary arts museum in Madrid in 1996. He participated in theatre works including La Dulce Cásina and Anfitrión with the actor Rafael Álvarez (El Brujo) and worked on the documentaries Mediterráneo (Televisión Español) and Amazonía, la Última frontera (Canal Plus). He has worked on albums with a wide variety of artists. Marconi was awarded the prize of best director at the IV International Samba Meeting in Amsterdam (2001). He created the first samba school in Madrid and the samba school "Apito de Ouro" in Berlin, and founded the group "Zum-Zuêh", responsible for the training of many students who perform professionally in Spain. He is the author of the book Percusión Brasileña I (1997) and has recently (2023) published "Percusión Brasileña - Ritmos & Divertimentos".
